Who can request Cancerguard online?

To request this test online, you must meet the following requirements from Recuro Health:

You have increased risk factors such as smoking, alcohol use, obesity, or are older than 50
Have not had cancer in the past 3 years
Are not pregnant or planning to be
Are not a resident of New York state

If you don’t meet these requirements but are still interested in this test, you can speak with your provider about your options.

What should I expect after requesting the test?

A health care provider will order the Cancerguard test if they determine it's right for you.
You’ll complete a simple blood draw, either at a nearby lab or with a mobile phlebotomist who comes to your home.
Results are usually ready in about 2 weeks. You can review them with your doctor.

Who is Recuro Health?

Recuro Health is a telehealth provider we've partnered with for requesting the Cancerguard test online. These providers operate independently from Exact Sciences and Exact Sciences Laboratories. You'll answer a few questions to determine if you meet Recuro Health's eligibility criteria for the test. We also provide the option to meet with a Recuro telehealth provider before your test is prescribed. There is no additional cost to you — this service is included in the $689 total price.

What are results for the Cancerguard test like?

You’ll get a clear negative or positive result, which tells you whether signals of cancer are present or not.4-5

Negative: No cancer signals detected. Continue with your regular screening plan, since this test does not completely rule out the possibility of present or future cancer.4
Positive: Cancer signals were found. This isn’t a diagnosis — it simply means that you need follow-up imaging (such as CT scans) and tests to confirm if cancer is present and locate it.5 Cancerguard results do not include a prediction of the cancer’s location because our modeling studies show this process may lead to additional or unnecessary procedures in the case of a positive result.6 You’ll also have access to personalized support through our Care Navigation team who can help navigate follow-up steps, and potential imaging reimbursement for eligible patients.†
